Join a Queensland Government team responsible for enhancing and maintaining enterprise data warehouse and reporting capabilities. This role suits a multi-skilled BI Developer with strong experience across SQL Server, Visual Studio and the broader Microsoft BI stack.<br><br> You’ll design and deliver fit-for-purpose data models that put essential insights directly in the hands of business users, supporting the continued uplift and expansion of BI capability across the organisation.<br> <br> <strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><br> <ul> <li>Collaborate with business stakeholders and team members to translate requirements into robust data models.</li> <li>Design data warehouse and ETL solutions using SQL Server Management Studio, Visual Studio and Azure DevOps.</li> <li>Build and maintain SSIS packages and SSAS tabular/multidimensional models.</li> <li>Develop and apply QA checks to ensure data accuracy, integrity and lineage.</li> <li>Conduct performance analysis and optimise code as required.</li> <li>Undertake unit and system testing across all development work.</li> <li>Maintain technical documentation and metadata repositories.</li> <li>Contribute to planning sessions and proactively communicate risks or blockers.</li> </ul> <br> <strong>Skills & Experience</strong><br> <ul> <li>Proven experience translating business needs into functional data repositories and data models.</li> <li>Strong understanding of data warehouse architecture, ETL design and database concepts.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with SQL Server Management Studio, Visual Studio, SSIS, SSAS, DAX and MDX.</li> <li>Advanced SQL skills and demonstrated ability to structure unstructured/semi-structured data.</li> <li>Commitment to rigorous data testing and quality assurance.</li> <li>Ability to work autonomously and manage workload effectively.</li> <li>Strong communication, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.</li> </ul> <br> This role will be offered as an initial contract to 30 June 2026 + view to extend<br> <br> To apply please send your resume or contact Nat at Blackroc on 0430 292 875 or natalie@blackroc.co
