We are seeking an experienced <strong>SOC Lead</strong> to join a high-performing cyber security team. This is an exciting opportunity to combine technical expertise with leadership in a dynamic Security Operations Centre (SOC).<br><br> <strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong><br> <ul> <li>Lead daily SOC operations, including monitoring, detection, and incident response, ensuring adherence to SLAs and KPIs.</li> <li>Manage and collaborate with a Managed Service Provider for SOC operations.</li> <li>Develop and mature a 24x7x365 SOC structure, defining roles and responsibilities.</li> <li>Conduct investigations, threat hunting, and digital forensic analysis.</li> <li>Mentor and guide junior SOC team members to build capability and expertise.</li> <li>Develop, implement, and improve SOC standard operating procedures.</li> <li>Provide guidance on ICT initiatives to ensure log source adherence and optimal sensor placement.</li> <li>Collaborate with ICT delivery teams and suppliers to continuously enhance SOC functions and cyber security.</li> <li>Report on SOC activities, including maturity, risks, incident trends, and cyber security threats.</li> <li>Work closely with government cyber security units on incident resolution and reporting.</li> </ul> <strong>Ideally you will have the following skills and experience:</strong><br> <ul> <li>Proven leadership experience in SOC operations.</li> <li>Strong technical expertise in cyber security, threat detection, and incident response.</li> <li>Excellent mentoring and team development skills.</li> <li>Ability to drive process improvement and strategic initiatives.</li> <li>Strong collaboration and communication skills across technical and business stakeholders.</li> </ul> This role offers the chance to lead a critical cyber security function, shape SOC operations, and make a tangible impact while advancing your career in a challenging and rewarding environment.<br><br>To apply please send your resume or contact Nat at Blackroc on 0430 292 875 or Natalie@blackroc.co<br>
