Full-Stack Developer - React & Node

Full-Stack Developer (3-Month Contract) &ndash; Media &amp; Film Industry MVP<br><br> We&rsquo;re partnering with a well-established media technology company, founded in 2001 and headquartered in Sydney, with offices in Melbourne, Brisbane and Wellington. They&rsquo;ve built the foundations of a new product in the media and film space and are now looking for a Full-Stack Developer to help take their MVP to the next stage of development.<br> &nbsp;&nbsp;<br> Role<br> <ul> <li>Work across the full stack to deliver new features, improve performance and prepare the MVP for production use.</li> <li>Enhance APIs, system architecture and UI components within an existing codebase.</li> <li>A key part of this role involves automating Adobe After Effects workflows - specifically in headless or script-driven environments (no UI interaction).</li> <li>Develop, optimise and maintain automation pipelines that can render, modify or export After Effects projects programmatically using scripts, APIs and media processing tools.</li> <li>Collaborate closely with founders, engineers and production teams to solve technical challenges quickly and efficiently.</li> <li>Contribute to documentation, technical standards and scalable architecture practices.</li> </ul> &nbsp;&nbsp;<br> Essential Skills<br> <ul> <li>Advanced TypeScript (3+ years)</li> <li>React 18 with modern hooks</li> <li>Node.js + Express REST API development</li> <li>PostgreSQL / Supabase</li> <li>AWS infrastructure and deployment</li> <li>Third-party API integration</li> <li>FFmpeg or similar media/video processing tools</li> <li>Strong Git/GitHub workflows</li> </ul> &nbsp;&nbsp;<br> Bonus / Highly Desirable<br> <ul> <li>Expertise in Adobe After Effects automation, ExtendScript, scripting or JSX-based workflows</li> <li>Experience with headless rendering or programmatic manipulation of AE compositions</li> <li>Python scripting &amp; workflow automation</li> <li>AI APIs (OpenAI, Google AI, etc.)</li> <li>Knowledge of video production or post-production pipelines</li> <li>Docker &amp; DevOps exposure</li> <li>&nbsp;</li> </ul> Why You&rsquo;ll Want This Role<br> <ul> <li>Work with an established company (since 2001) with a strong presence across Australia and New Zealand.</li> <li>Influence a product at a critical growth phase, with your work directly shaping the MVP.</li> <li>Small, agile and creative team environment.</li> <li>3-month contract with potential extension.</li> <li>Opportunity to combine full-stack development with media automation and creative technology.</li> </ul> &nbsp;&nbsp;
