Join a major federal government transformation program modernising critical national services and replacing legacy systems with modern, data-driven platforms. This is a <strong>long-term contract through to 30 June 2027</strong>.<br> <br> We’re looking for a Data Modeller to design and optimise analytical and dimensional models that support forecasting, reporting and BI capabilities across the Microsoft ecosystem.<br> <br> <strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><br> <ul> <li>Design dimensional models (star/snowflake) for analytics and reporting</li> <li>Align data models with Microsoft best practice across SQL Server, Azure and Power BI</li> <li>Collaborate with engineers, analysts and stakeholders</li> <li>Maintain metadata, data dictionaries and documentation</li> <li>Optimise performance for large datasets</li> <li>Support semantic model development in Power BI</li> <li>Work within a SAFe Agile environment and follow coding standards</li> </ul> <br> <strong>Essential Experience</strong><br> <ul> <li>Strong background in dimensional & analytical modelling</li> <li>Proficiency with SQL Server, Azure Data Services and Power BI</li> <li>Deep understanding of data warehousing, ETL and BI architecture</li> <li>Ability to explain complex data concepts clearly</li> <li>Excellent communication and teamwork skills</li> </ul> <br> <strong>Desirable</strong><br> <ul> <li>Federal government data experience</li> <li>Exposure to emerging Microsoft data tools</li> <li>Relevant degree (Computer Science, Data, Engineering etc.)</li> </ul> <br> This role will be offered as a contract until 30 June 2027.<br> <br> <strong>Please note: </strong>Australian Citizenship is essential - current Baseline or NV1 is preferred.<br> <br> To apply please send your details or contact Nat at BLACKROC on 0430 29 2875 or Natalie@blackroc.co
