Join a major digital transformation project focused on the energy and utilities sector. We are seeking an experienced <strong>Grid Control Specialist</strong> to support and enhance a state-wide, mission-critical system for power network control and outage management.<br><br>You will work within a high-performing engineering team, supporting a complex Distribution Management System (DMS). This role requires strong technical expertise in systems administration, integration, and performance support of non-production and production environments.<br><br> <strong>Key Responsibilities</strong> <ul> <li>Diagnose and resolve system issues impacting performance or stability.</li> <li>Perform system maintenance and support activities across multiple DMS environments.</li> <li>Monitor systems to ensure continuous service and adherence to operational standards.</li> <li>Contribute to upgrades, system configuration changes, and integration tasks.</li> <li>Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop technical documentation and implementation standards.</li> <li>Support project delivery by ensuring tasks are completed within agreed timeframes.</li> </ul> <br> <strong>Essential Skills</strong> <ul> <li>Strong experience with Linux/UNIX systems administration (preferably Red Hat).</li> <li>Exposure to GE ADMS or similar Distribution Management Systems.</li> <li>Solid background in large-scale IT system integration across operating systems, communications protocols, scripting, and virtualisation.</li> <li>Proficiency in Oracle RDBMS, including complex, multi-schema environments.</li> <li>Demonstrated understanding of security architecture in complex IT environments.</li> <li>Ability to communicate effectively across technical and business teams.</li> </ul> <strong>Desirable</strong> <ul> <li>Knowledge of electrical power systems or control systems.</li> <li>Experience working within the energy or utilities sector.</li> </ul> To apply please send your resume or contact Nat on 0430 292 875 or natalie@blackroc.co
