Systems Accountant / Finance Systems Specialist - D365 ERP

We&rsquo;re looking for a Finance Systems Specialist / Systems Accountant to join a major finance transformation project. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you&rsquo;ll help implement Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance (D365 ERP) and support the redesign of finance processes, reporting structures, and reconciliations.<br> &nbsp;&nbsp;<br> You&rsquo;ll work closely with finance leads, system integrators, and project teams to test, validate, and optimise finance processes. This role is perfect for an accountant who enjoys working with ERP systems, data migration, and process improvement, while contributing to a large-scale, transformational project.<br> &nbsp;&nbsp;<br> <strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><br> <ul> <li>Support the design and validation of the chart of accounts, financial dimensions, and posting profiles in D365.</li> <li>Assist in defining journals, allocations, accruals, intercompany, and consolidation processes.</li> <li>Support data migration activities, including GL balances, subledger reconciliations, and trial balances.</li> <li>Conduct hands-on testing during system integration (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT).</li> <li>Document future-state finance processes and controls to ensure compliance and audit readiness.</li><li>Collaborate with finance, IT, and implementation partners to identify and resolve design gaps.</li> <li>Develop training materials and knowledge transfer for end-users.</li> <li>Contribute to cutover planning and execution for go-live, reconciliations, and month-end close.</li> <li>Identify process improvements and automation opportunities.</li> </ul> &nbsp;&nbsp;<br> <strong>Skills and Experience</strong><br> <ul> <li>Strong understanding of finance processes: general ledger, reconciliations, consolidations, and month-end close.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance (ERP).</li> <li>Experience in data migration, reporting, and testing large financial datasets.</li> <li>Exposure to process improvement initiatives and system optimisation.</li> <li>Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.</li> <li>Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams in a fast-paced environment.</li> </ul> &nbsp;&nbsp;<br> This role will be offered as an initial 12 month contract and is due to start asap.<br> &nbsp;&nbsp;<br> To apply please send your resume or contact Nat on 0430 292 875 or natalie@blackroc.co
