Systems Engineer - 12 MONTH CONTRACT.

This is a full time 12 month contract. This role is Canberra based, however interstate candidates are encouraged to apply, and will be considered.

BLACKROC has partnered with an Australian government organisation, looking to grow their Systems Engineering team who are responsible for the design, delivery and maintenance of their infrastructure platforms for internal and external clients. 

You will work within one of the talented teams of Systems Engineers, focusing on managing all the management and monitoring of several user environments. This space will see you working on technical projects and improvements across the IT department, while coordinating with the CTO and Infrastructure Manager. 

You will:

• Demonstrated experience and proven skills in design, planning, implementation, hardening and maintaining and sustaining one or more of the following technology domains
• Work with Linux Systems administration and Cloud Systems administration
• Work on the implementation of technical management changes and activities.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of the organisations operations.
• Investigate and solve complex technical problems assigned to the team.

Experience/Skills you’ll ideally have:

• Authentication and Authorisation
• System and network protocols and proxies 
• Threat Intelligence or SIEM platforms
• Cloud Infrastructure
• Containerisation
• Big Data solutions (visualisation, querying, updating, machine learning, predictive modelling/analysis)

Essential Criteria:

• Demonstrated experience with system architecture or security analysis.
• Must be Australia Citizen
• Must be able to obtain an NV1 Clearance
