Site Reliability Engineer.

BLACKROC are pleased to be working alongside a burgeoning local success story based in Brisbane. They are looking for a DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer to take ownership of the infrastructure within the business and help lead them through their next phase of scaling. 

This role would suit someone from a development background who wants to hold key influence within a business and have their suggestions taken on board. You will own the CI/CD and IaC deployments as well as observability, monitoring and reliability of their cloud environment. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Develop and provide operational support for full-stack software applications.
• Collaborate with development operations staff to create, monitor, and troubleshoot the system infrastructure.
• Increase system resilience and serve larger customer volumes with expert-level coding, bulletproof release, and change management skills.
• Improve automation and increase the system’s self-healing capability.
• Manage cloud and database system maintenance, debugging
  production issues as they arise. 

Experience: 

• 3+ years of experience working with cloud-native applications and infrastructure built on AWS.
• Experience building and managing AWS infrastructure using Terraform (using the Terraform CDK with Typescript a plus).
• Proficiency with Git and GitHub workflows
• Experience with CI/CD platforms (e.g. Github Actions, Buildkite, AWS CodeDeploy, OctopusDeploy, Bitbucket Pipelines).
• Experience managing applications on Linux infrastructure using Docker containers (AWS ECS experience a plus)
