DevOps Engineer.

BLACKROC are pleased to be working alongside one of Australia's most well-known fintech organisations as they look to add a DevOps Engineer to their Platform team. In this position you will work closely with development teams on new feature projects as well as the platform team in delivering continuous improvements to the current infrastructure. 

Their ideal candidate is someone with 2+ years experience in AWS environments, who has knowledge of scripting, containerisation and CI/CD pipelines. You will be rewarded with a flexible working environments (2 days in office) and fantastic learning, development and growth opportunities. 

Responsibilities: 

• Perform DevOps engineering and security tasks within the AWS environment.
• Assist team members in effective collaboration to meet project deadlines.
• Work closely with development teams to optimise their daily workflows, release processes, and address system-related challenges.
• Regularly execute projects aimed at enhancing DevOps practices to ensure security, efficiency, and relevance of our technology stack.
• Manage website performance during high traffic periods, diagnose incidents, and conduct proactive analysis to minimise future issues as part of continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to automate and streamline repetitive tasks.

Experience: 

• 2+ years of relevant experience in a comparable role.
• Proficiency in programming or scripting languages, Python or Bash preferred
• Familiarity with automation tools and configuration management systems.
• Exposure to Agile and DevOps methodologies
• Familiarity with major public cloud platforms like AWS
• Strong written communication skills and proven track record in documenting work.
