Infrastructure Architect.

BLACKROC is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Architect to join a growing, internationally renowned, Brisbane based business. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cloud computing, AWS, and TOGAF. They will be able to work with Solutions Architects to understand business requirements and translate them into technical designs. They will also be able to coach and guide the DevOps team on relevant AWS frameworks and services.

Responsibilities

• Understand the business requirements of a project and translate them into technical designs.
• Work with Solutions Architects to design and implement cloud-based solutions.
• Coach and guide the DevOps team on relevant AWS frameworks and services.
• Conduct architecture evaluations and collaborate with project management and IT stakeholders to improve any presented architecture.
• Continuously research emerging technologies to keep the company ahead of the competition.

Qualifications

• AWS Associate or Professional Architect certification required
• MSc in any IT related field is an advantage
• TOGAF certification is an advantage

Experience

• Broad IT experience with a strong focus and understanding of the AWS Cloud
• At least 3-5 years in Cloud Technology
• Work experience in blue chip organisations in an advantage, especially from a tooling and methodology perspective
• Strong stakeholder management experience with the ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders
• Ability to consult management and engineering teams, with technical advice regarding IT architecture, infrastructure and cloud development
