Business Analyst.

BLACKROC is seeking a Business Analyst to join a Federal Government Client for a 12-month Engagement in Brisbane or Sydney. The role involves joining a Platforms, Integration & Data team to support major work programs aimed at delivering innovative ICT-based solutions tailored to meet specific needs.
  
As a Business Analyst, your main responsibility will be to collaborate closely with product owners within a cross-functional team. Together, you'll focus on designing, developing, and modernising solutions for mobile and web applications. Your role involves delivering top-tier products, analysing requirements, refining user stories, and supporting the execution of the Digital strategy.
  
About the role:

• Working closely with the Product Development and Scrum Teams to create user stories and software solutions.
• Analysing data, interpreting results, and producing reports
• Lead business functional requirements and managing resources, ensuring alignment with contractual, legislative, and policy frameworks.
• Develop solid, balanced relationships with business partners and identify areas for improvement within the current processes.
• Design workflow and process strategies to enhance business performance and remain up to date with the latest technologies and agile practices.
• Be responsible for creating business cases that define potential benefits and options for achieving those benefits by modifying processes and identifying business risks.
• Facilitate meetings between the development team and business stakeholders to scope requirements for projects and employ a wide range of industry-wide modeling techniques.

  
About you:

• 5+ years demonstrated experience in business analysis, including workshop facilitation and contributing to impactful initiatives.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with technical SMEs and translate technical concepts into simple terms.
• Quick learner with ability to understand technical concepts and deliver accurate documentation.
• 3+ years proven experience in cloud platforms, preferably AWS and Azure, including new service delivery.
• Strong interpersonal skills, adept at liaising with stakeholders verbally and in writing, and cultivating productive relationships.
• Initiative-driven, adaptable, and quick to meet deadlines.
• Skilled in collaborating with diverse teams to deploy complex technologies and drive business change.
• Adaptable to both agile and waterfall processes for project delivery.
