An organisation in utilities sector that is changing their ERP and EAM technology seeks an Senior Business Analyst to support one of their digital projects.

This project aims to enhance Digital Portfolio Investments by introducing a new product that improves analysis, monitoring, and management capabilities. You will be heavily involved in the implementation of the product, working very closely with their digital team.

Our ideal candidate will have an understanding of investment analysis processes, experience/knowledge of the energy industry, exposure to SAP Solution Manager and agile certifications/JIRA.

To be considered for this opportunity you must have legal working rights in Australia. 

Our ideal candidate will have: 
  • Demonstrated extensive knowledge of Business Analysis techniques to gather and convert business requirements into functional specifications for large and/or complex environments.
  • An understanding of investment analysis processes
  • Proven stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage effectively with technical resources, senior executive teams, and external vendors/partners
  • Experience and knowledge of the Energy Industry
  • Proven experience in creating accurate and effective business process models and information/data models, including ‘as is’ and ‘to be’ states, using appropriate notations
  • Exposure to SAP Solution Manager for business process modelling.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (both verbal and written) with business and technical stakeholders, senior management, and project team members
  • Agile certification and experience in using JIRA for sprint management
  • Demonstrated experience working on projects using various development/delivery methodologies, including Agile and SCRUM

You will:
  • Liaise with employees/management to translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, matching business processes with system requirements
  • Maintain and, where needed, create process documentation to support process-driven digital implementation. This includes creating and maintaining process maps, process design documentation, and process-related workflows
  • Reverse engineer existing report specifications to develop reporting requirements. Identify information sets, source data, and business logic or calculations applied, and then document reporting requirements
  • Create report mock-up specifications for stakeholders
  • Support the design, build, and testing of functional systems related to project and portfolio management
  • Work with the delivery team, consisting of functional consultants, specialists, business SMEs, and architects, to define requirements and determine appropriate design options
  • Manage deliverables throughout the Software Development Life Cycle to support the effective implementation of new and enhanced systems
  • Undertake detailed analysis assignments on projects and for operational tasks as required
  • Participate in options analysis activities
