Program Risk Analyst - 6 month initial contract - Brisbane CBD - 4x days in office

Are you a strategic and proactive Program Risk Analyst who thrives in environments of emerging maturity and is adept at identifying, documenting, and mitigating risks and issues within cloud project initiatives?

If so, we'd love to hear from you for an opportunity within a Government owned statutory.

As a Program Risk Analyst, you will be the linchpin in ensuring the smooth execution of our client's Cloud Enablement Program.

We are looking for someone with strong risk management and documentation skills from an IT background.

Please note, to be considered for this role you must be currently living in Queensland.

Your primary focus will be to:
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, identifying and analysing potential threats to the program’s success
  • Develop and lead workshops aimed at risk identification and mitigation, ensuring active participation and engagement from all stakeholders
  • Document all identified risks, issues, and mitigations with precision and clarity
  • Present findings and strategic recommendations to the board and steering committee, providing them with a clear understanding of the risk landscape and your proposed solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate risk management processes into the broader program framework

Ideally you will have:
  • Demonstrated experience in risk analysis and mitigation on complex/large  IT projects in environments with a low level of process maturity
  • Experience working through risk issues effectively, efficiently and with extremely low risk
  • Exceptional documentation abilities, maintaining meticulous records of risks, issues, and their respective mitigations
  • Confident communication and presentation skills, with experience reporting to high-level executives and steering committees
  • A forward-thinking and resilient mindset, capable of anticipating challenges in a low maturity environment
