Java Developer.

We're looking for a skilled Java Developer to join our client's team and build the future of Queensland's transportation infrastructure. You'll develop and maintain cutting-edge software solutions that streamline our state's transportation systems.

This role offers a variety of projects to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Here's what you'll do:

• Collaborate with a team to design and support Java applications (components/COTS interfaces) using the Java Toolset in the cloud (AWS).
• Craft and document Java application specifications and designs.
• Work with senior analysts and architects to analyze, design, and assess solutions and development approaches.
• Tackle the entire development lifecycle: from analysis and design to construction, unit testing, quality reviews, performance testing, and troubleshooting.
• Partner with the Lead Analyst to manage technical risks, issues, priorities, and deadlines.
• Develop documentation and software that adheres to departmental standards.
• Provide timely progress reports.
• Share your Java knowledge with the team by documenting decisions and approaches.
• Work independently with minimal technical guidance.
• Be prepared to undertake additional tasks as needed.

Bonus points for:

• Experience with Spring Cloud for AWS and React
• Experience in large organisations building mission critical applications 
• Timeseries database experience
