Head of Engineering.

Newly created opportunity with an iconic global B2C consumer brand. As the business heads into a hugely promising growth chapter, this role will play a key part in reviewing the existing technology platform and shaping it's future, as well as helping the team develop processes and ways of working.

Your time will be spent equally on architecture and technical strategy, driving team cohesion, and aligning product roadmap with development feasibility.

What you'll be doing

• Directing daily stand-ups and coordinating a mixed onshore/offshore engineering department
• Leading technical design sessions with both engineers and business stakeholders
• Streamlining application deployment processes and conducting architecture reviews
• Collaborating with other senior leaders to ensure cohesion and synergy in technology strategy and development roadmap
• Leading troubleshooting sessions and liaising with existing and potential new vendors
• Driving and encouraging collaboration within the team

What you'll ideally bring

• A background in software development using .NET and the Microsoft stack
• Demonstrated history in mentoring and motivating teams
• Experience working in a product-led environment
• Knowledge of Azure services and container technology
• Experience working in teams that practice pair programming 
• Exposure to IAM solutions and general cloud security standards
