A key Federal Government Agency is looking an Assistant Director - Workforce IAM for a 12 month contract, to providing strategic direction, oversight, and governance for workforce identity and access management (IAM) initiatives within an Azure and AWS Cloud environment.

This role is a key leadership role in the Identity and Access Management division of the Office of the Chief Information Officer. This position entails guiding strategic direction, overseeing operations, and ensuring compliance with governance standards for IAM initiatives in both Azure and AWS Cloud environments. Working closely with stakeholders, the Assistant Director defines IAM strategy, coordinates cross-functional teams, and advocates for resources to enhance IAM capabilities and maturity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development of the strategic vision and roadmap for IAM initiatives, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and industry standards.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the implementation of IAM projects and strategic plans, ensuring adherence to timelines and project objectives.
  • Oversee and enforce governance for IAM solutions, monitoring performance, compliance, and risk factors.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize IAM requirements, advocating for necessary resources and support.
  • Cultivate a culture of collaboration and innovation within the IAM team, encouraging continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
  • Act as the primary liaison for IAM-related matters, representing the IAM function in interactions with senior leadership and stakeholders.
Essential Criteria 
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, particularly in identity and access management or similar fields.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Track record of leading cross-functional teams and steering large-scale initiatives to successful completion.
  • Proficiency in regulatory requirements and industry standards concerning IAM and identity governance.
  • Capacity to analyze intricate issues, devise solutions, and make informed decisions to advance IAM strategy.
  • Displayed commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities, in line with the core mission of the NDIA.
  • Verified capability to acquire and uphold an NV1 clearance.
