Senior Product (UX / UI) Designer - remote role.

Role:

Use your problem-solving skills to reduce cognitive load and improve user experience. Work on product discovery and collaborate with others to solve their problems, using early validation testing and measurement to try and ensure you're solving the right problem, at the right time.

Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of the end-to-end design process from concept, research through to hi-fi designs. 
• Use your skill as "product thinker" to understand the big picture, balancing the user needs with the business goals and tech feasibility. 
• Constantly test your ideas and protoypes with real users building testing into your weekly schedule.
• Continuously validate and refine ideas as well as collect new insights that they may not have even been looking for.
• Use methods such as user interviews, unmoderated tasks, contextual inquiry and usability testing. 
• Analyse from qualitative and quantitative data such as usage data, to make data-informed decisions. 
• Balance both qualitative and quantitative research and draw insights from data.
• Present and run workshops with stakeholders and SMEs to establish business needs and requirements.
• Help build a component-driven design system - responsible for the design and implementation of custom iconography, typography, colour palette, responsive grids and a component library.

About You:

• Min. four years of UX / UI experience, ideally in a Product Company.  
• You have a portfolio that showcases both your UX problem-solving skills as well as your aesthetically pleasing UI skills. Take your folio further and talk about the commercial outcomes that your work brought to the business.
• You are good at shaping work, conducting the research, figuring out the problem to be solved, product discovery, and prioritisation.
• You thrive in a collaborative workplace; partnering with other designers, engineers, product managers and developers.
• You are an avid problem solver that's excited by an opportunity and can communicate your process and the 'why' behind it.
• You are a big picture thinker, creating an experience that always keeps users in mind while also being in the nitty-gritty as details do matter. 
• You are proficient in Design tools and while you are not a  Developer you understand a bit about coding. 
• You are a results-oriented person, someone who is focused on iteratively delivering value to your customers.
