BLACKROC are seeking a skilled Network & Infrastructure Engineer to join a leading client's Infrastructure Services Team, responsible for managing and defining hosting environments for our products and services. The successful candidate will work closely with the Service Desk and Application Support teams to maintain and improve operational environments and deliver projects.

- Undertake scheduled works as defined in customers’ Managed Services Agreements.
- Manage incidents and problems relating to the infrastructure supporting our Managed Services Agreements.
- Assist with implementation and migration of hosted and cloud services between platforms.
- Work on improvements to security processes and threat response strategies.
- Develop and improve documentation, processes, and procedures.
- Assist with the management of Infrastructure Services products.
- Act as on-call support as part of agreed 24x7 customer support requirements.
- Excellent customer-liaison, interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a flexible, team-oriented environment.
- Ability to stay motivated and work as a peer in a team.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
- Tertiary qualification in Computer Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or relevant industry experience.
- 3+ years’ experience in design, planning, coordination, configuration, installation, and management of virtualisation, server, storage, and network infrastructure.
- Experience in on-premises and public cloud hosted architectures, cloud infrastructure, data networking and platforms.
- Experience in current and emerging infrastructure technologies.
- 3+ Years’ experience with systems administration experience for VMWare/vSphere/AWS virtual infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of Active Directory and authentication protocols.
- Understanding of DHCP, DNS and other networking protocols.
- Experience with VEEAM (or equivalent) backup technology and best practice backup management.
- ITIL qualifications.
- VMWare and AWS certifications.
- Familiarity with Windows Server & MS SQL.
- Familiarity with monitoring systems (eg. Nagios).
- Strong understanding of Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Networking Protocols and services.
