This business is an early-stage renewable energy startup founded by industry veterans, who some say have the Midas touch. They also own a successful installation & maintenance services business, operating in Australia and worldwide. This business is where 80% of the new business opportunities are being produced, for this newly created start-up.

The time has come to appoint a Head of Sales to lead their sales efforts and drive the business from its early stages to full-scale operations. This role is crucial for positioning this business as a leader in their industry and capitalising on the significant opportunities they see ahead. Currently, there is very little market competition.

About You:

You are a Head of Sales with a proven history of achieving sales targets. You possess a high-energy, high-performance mindset and innovative problem-solving skills that allow you to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement innovative business strategies to enhance market penetration and identify new growth opportunities.
  • Drive lead generation and pipeline development through market analysis, cold calling, networking, and digital outreach.
  • Conduct compelling product demonstrations and presentations to potential customers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their business needs and exploring opportunities for further product & service integrations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Marketing, Product Development, Customer Success) to align efforts and drive business growth.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities, providing feedback to refine product offerings and marketing strategies.
  • Represent this business at industry events, conferences, and networking meetings to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.

More Specifically, You Have:
  • At least 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the renewable energy B2B SaaS sector, with a proven track record of successful sales target achievements and business development.
  • Proven ability to manage and grow a sales pipeline, utilising both incoming marketing leads and out-of-the-box techniques to hunt new opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with evidence of building strong internal and customer relationships.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools (HubSpot preferred).
  • A strong team player mindset, with the ability to work independently.
